Windows Live Messenger causes 100% or 50% CPU utilization or crashes

As I regulary view my current website stats provided by Webstat website traffic analyzer, I found out there’s a whole bunch of people landing at my blog, while searching the web for Windows Live Messenger related problems – especially that bug causing Windows Live Messenger to run at 100% (resp. 50% on a multi threaded system) CPU utilization and sometimes crashing due to that behaviour. Since I have had that problem on my own PC for somewhat three weeks or so, I started digging for a solution to that issue. More

Live Messenger 2008 – Hohe CPU Auslastung bis zum Absturz

Neulich habe ich einen Kunden zwecks besserer Kommunikation zwischen den Abteilungen mit dem Windows Live Messenger ausgestattet. Es befindet sich eine Mischkonstellation aus dem aktuellen Live Messenger 2008 Version (Build 8.5.1302.1018) und einem Vorgänger vor. Immer wieder stelle ich fest, dass der Live Messenger ohne, dass man etwas besonderes getan hat, eine sehr hohe CPU Auslastung hervorruft. More
